Historic Home Plaque Application

In a continuing commitment to preserve and protect the significance of its historic homes, the Ansley Park Civic Association History & Preservation Committee is excited to announce the historic plaque program. The purpose of the markers is to inform the community of Ansley Park’s historically significant homes and gardens, as well as outstanding architects, people, and events in Atlanta’s history.

Historic markers may be ordered through the Ansley Park Historic Preservation Committee upon completion of the required application and approval by the committee. Plaques are available to historic properties that are at least 50 years old with a degree of architectural integrity, and meet one of the following criteria:

1. That are associated with the lives of persons significant in our past; or

2. That embody the distinctive architectural characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction;

or

3. That represents the work of a master architect; or

4. That possess high artistic values. 

Each 8”x 5” bronze plaque is custom crafted with the date of construction of each home. The plaques are hand-cast in the U.S.A. and come with a lifetime quality guarantee. They are of the same monument quality as the marker that commemorates the site of the former governor’s mansion on The Prado. Your customized plaque may be displayed adjacent to your front door or wherever you feel it looks best.

The cost of each plaque is $181.88, including tax and shipping.
