Cézanne and the Modern showcases the extraordinary vision of Henry Pearlman, a modest American entrepreneur who amassed an outstanding selection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and modern art. The exhibition features more than fifty works by Manet, Pissarro, Degas, Gauguin, van Gogh, Modigliani, and more, and includes perhaps the greatest collection of watercolors and oils by Cézanne outside of France.
Julia Forbes, Head of Museum Interpretation, will provide a brief overview before we see the exhibition, and she will also join us in the gallery.
Following the tour, will be a wine and cheese reception at the home of
Dave and Pat Wiliams whose home is considered to be the oldest house in Ansley Park.
